What makes "dressage" right for you?

Dressage is a French term that means "training".  It's goal is to develop the horse's natural ability and willingness while being supple and attentive to the rider, therefore this type of training is great for all disciplines (hunters, jumpers, western ...).  It teaches the rider a balanced seat, correct rider position and improved communication with the horse.  Visit the website for the United States Dressage Federation for more information - (usdf.org)

For those wanting to compete, dressage offers classes that correspond with the level of training of the rider and/or the horse.  Most breeds can be successful in the dressage arena, as well as ponies.
